Rules for wearing Rudraksha ☘️
Clean Rudraksha once a month with water and gently oil it using almond oil and a soft brush. Chant “ॐ नमः शिवाय (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)” 11 times before wearing the mala each day. Remove the mala during sexual intercourse or while visiting funeral grounds. It is advisable to remove the mala while consuming non-vegetarian food or alcohol and wear it again afterwards. Women can wear Rudraksha freely; scriptures place no restriction even during menstrual cycles. However, it is their choice whether they wish to remove the Mala or not. To re-energize, touch the mala to a Śivaliṅga and chant “ॐ नमः शिवाय (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)” 11 times; while performing Rudrābhiṣeka on it is highly beneficial. Do not share a Rudraksha mala with others; keep separate malas for japa and for daily wearing.
